Scripps Howard Foundation Wire – Deadline: November 1

The Scripps Howard Foundation is looking for curious, energetic college juniors and seniors studying print, broadcast and multimedia journalism to report from Washington during the spring and summer terms. Interns are paid a stipend and provided free housing in furnished apartments.

Applications open for 2016 News21 program – Deadline: November 10

This prestigious program begins with a virtual seminar during the spring 2016 semester taught by Leonard Downie Jr., former editor of The Washington Post. Students will conduct research and learn from experts on the 2016 topic of civil rights in America.

iSchools Promotional Video Contest – November 30

The iSchools organization announces a video contest that seeks to foster interest in the field of information and promote study at an Information School. Prizes of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 will be given for the top-three most innovative and impactful videos, respectively. The top five finishers will also be offered up to $1,000 in travel support to attend iConference 2016 in Philadelphia.
