UT School of Journalism and Electronic Media graduate Miriam Kramer has been hired and will start working at Mashable as their first space reporter in April 2015. Mashable is the leading media company for the digital generation and by hiring Kramer will be pioneering a new beat through a specifically digital-focused lens. Mashable began covering science a year ago with documenting climate change and environmental issues in the digital age with a type of reporting that is visual and compelling. Kramer will continue to build on this reporting with a focus on the ramifications of the growing private sector space industry. Jim Roberts, Chief Content Officer and Exectutive Editor of Mashable said, "Miriam is an eminent player in science journalism, and we're excited to have her join the Mashable team."
